Now you can have access to industry pros without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home! Click and collab…it’s that easy! Kylie Jenner has just surpassed 21 million fans which is incredible considering she is only 17!…It just goes to show, when you put in, you get back…social media is all about marketing to the masses in a cost-effective manner. You build a brand online and it can lead to an empire. Now l’m no Kylie Jenner, nor am I in the ranks of the Britney Spears or Ashton Kutchers of this world, but I can say that I, too, have derived great success from marketing myself on social media. Facebook, believe it or not, has been very beneficial for my career, catapulting me into roles I had only dreamt about—ranging from commercials to music videos and more recently to a feature film shot in Zimbabwe, Africa. With a click and a pic, you can position yourself into the hearts and minds of people across the world. A great example of this is when Universal launched Fast & Furious 6 with the Super Bowl TV ads. At the same time, Universal also coordinated with all the film’s talent to leverage their social media followings to push out the spot. Would you believe there was more volume on social media than the other five films combined that placed ads on the Super Bowl? It just goes to show, social media is a sound investment in which to put your time and talent, with a very high rate of return at a very low cost. It doesn’t take much…a little goes a long way. I have been steadily building my Facebook fan site, which has received 593 new page likes in the past week. With 3,033 clicks on my links, I can release my greatest hits in no time!
